We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Operations Officer for our Australian-based client. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our client's firm and ensuring the smooth functioning of the business processes.

Job description

Our client specializes in financial product design, structuring, and distribution. They serve as a fixed-income product specialist for investors and non-bank wealth advisors. They design and structure investment products for wholesale investors and financial advisers. They work with the world’s top investment banks, brokers, and custody service providers.

Responsibilities and duties of Associate Operations Officer include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to various departments, such as Data Management, Platform and Operations;
  • Process data entry into internal database and product spreadsheets, and data management;
  • Assist with basic finance related tasks and reconciliation;
  • Perform account opening and ongoing maintenance including preparation of relevant forms and/or documents, creating client profile in system, lodging application etc.;
  • Handle clients’ requests and inquiries related to their account, maintenance and reporting;
  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers, stakeholders to get work done;  
  • Additional tasks and projects assigned by the Company from time to time;
  • Ensure all practices, procedures and regulations are adhered to when performing daily tasks/duties;
  • Follow and obey with all reasonable and lawful directions given by the Company.  

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years work experience in operations and client support in finance, bank or wealth management is preferred.
  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking in English.
  • Competent in computer, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of working under pressure, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with XERO is beneficial.
